Omer Khan
Omer Khan was born and raised in Kabul, Afghanistan. From a young age, he loved arts, Omer has exhibited his work in Paris, France. He is a widely known and respected photographer.
Additionally to his photo career, he proudly volunteered with the projects to work with the street children, helping them set up a brighter future.
His main goal was to portray the historical heritage of Afghanistan through his photography. “The reason I always say that photography is my passion and that it communicates across languages and cultures. I love to tell stories, and I am willing to help people see how beautiful they are “.
My Name Is Omer Farooq Faizi and My Art name is Omer Khan. I grew up in Kabul, Afghanistan studied and graduated from the of journalism faculty.
I start working as a freelance Photojournalist since 2015 I traveled around Afghanistan to capture the unseen side of Afghanistan, Whatever challenges I face, whatever happens, I would still hold on to my camera- capture the positive and beautiful side of Afghanistan.
I want to show the world that there is a small country in the planet with wonderful people with different and wonderful stories live in, I always share a small stories like small photo-essays with my photographs, just to let people know, how the real world is. I do it for the love and passion I have for my country and people. We have the biggest treasures with us and that is LOVE.
All these things push me to work harder and spread messages of love through my photographs, As I give serval exhibition in San Diego and one exhibition at Kennedy Center Washington DC, I request from Dallas Museum of Art if the give me chance as a refugee to present my work to the people of Dallas I appreciate it.
